Advancing the Conversations that Shape the Mind

Neuroplastic Brain Talks is built around one idea: the brain is never fixed. It's shaped, every day, by what we feed it.

Host Beverly Ann Hansen, RN, MBA, M.NPN has spent four decades as a registered nurse — across population health, medical care, and behavioral health — before turning her focus to neuroscience. She became an RN young, while most of her peers were still picking a college major, and has spent her career since educating and advocating for vulnerable populations.

Her most recent chapter was spent training clinicians worldwide to assess and support brain health alongside Dr. Evian Gordon, MD, PhD, founder of Total Brain (now a SonderMind company). That work reshaped how she understands behavior change — and pointed her toward a new mission: putting everything she'd learned to work for the brain itself.

A personal moment sharpened that mission into focus, when she noticed the effects of prolific white noise machine use in her own grandchild and his peers — research that eventually became a book and a nonprofit, Clinical Brainiacs (book page). But the throughline she carries into this show is bigger than any one project: four decades of clinical experience, a front-row seat to how brains change, and a drive to hand that knowledge to the people who can use it.

Every episode is built to leave you with something useful — science explained in plain language, practical takeaways, and a clearer read on how your choices, environment, and habits shape your brain and your family's brains every day. The show ranges from hard clinical neuroscience to wellness practices, spirtual energy and frequency work, and the everyday inputs people use to support brain health — featuring both leading professionals and everyday people with brain stories worth hearing.

The channel launches in October with Dr. Evian Gordon, MD, PhD, whose work helped shape Beverly's own path into this field. From there, expect a rotating mix of researchers, clinicians, wellness practitioners, and people whose personal experience with neuroplasticity, recovery, or brain health has something to teach the rest of us.

Parent, grandparent, caregiver, clinician, researcher, or just brain-curious — this is a place to learn, get equipped, and to join a growing community asking the same question: what kind of brain are my daily habits building?
